Richard III: Exploring the man behind the myth

A unique day conference raising funds for the A Voice for Richard project

History is based on story-telling and is often the version told by the winning side. The playwright is commissioned and “chronicles” their time for future generations to consider.

This one-off event also includes an opportunity to hear from some of the team who are currently working to give King Richard III a literal voice. Voice specialists, scientists, medical consultants and linguists are working in a pioneering collaboration to give “life” to the cranio-facial reconstruction of King Richard III. Hear about their progress to date and the evidence they are uncovering.

The day will appeal to anyone with an interest in Richard III, medieval history, linguistics, craniofacial reconstruction as well as drama, Shakespeare and the writer’s craft.

Speakers on a variety of topics through the day include Phillipa Langley M.B.E., Yvonne Morley-Chisholm, Bridget Foreman, and Nigel Forde. More information about the event can be found here.
