Booking Roughshod

We’d love to bring Roughshod to your community, but to make it a success we need your help! Whether it’s providing a workshop for a youth group, or a performance in a prison, you know where Roughshod could most benefit your local community.

In 2016 you can book Roughshod for a:

Local Base: a week or two of performances and workshops supporting your ongoing work in the local community
One Off Performance: June-July tour of Roughshod: Let Loose

By partnering with local base organisers Roughshod can work anywhere from a school to a shopping centre, church or prison. In the past Roughshod have also performed on aircraft carriers, in castles, care homes, coffee shops, universities, back gardens, homeless shelters, army bases, and even the odd theatre.

Would you like to invite Roughshod to your community in 2016?
We’re now booking for either one off performances or week long Roughshod bases. Just give us a call on 01904 655317 or email Bethan, our Roughshod administrator.

What does it cost?

We’re committed to making Roughshod available to any community that wants to host them and we don’t want cost to be a barrier. To keep five actors on the road delivering powerful performance and top quality workshops it costs us around £2,000 per week.

However, around a quarter of the cost will be funded from donations from Riding Lights Members. We ask hosting churches to raise money to support Roughshod’s work. This could be from ticket sales at a local Roughshod performance, fundraising events before they visit, or several churches could join together to host a week of work in their community. We’re always happy to talk through any of this with potential Roughshod hosts, and will strive to make make Roughshod’s work possible wherever we can.
